Hello Andi,

I follow you on Instagram and really relate to the conservation work you are doing.

I am a professional photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I’m currently looking to build up my network of connections in the field of environmental conservation.

I have grown my own business for the past four years, establishing a niche in commercial landscape photography and video production. At university I studied Geography and Environmental Management, and spent time in Madagascar working for the NGO Blue Ventures researching shallow water marine habitats as part of my Masters Theses.

Over the past year of running my business, I have felt the need to dig a bit deeper, and find a wider purpose in the work I do - and that has led me to conservation and adventure photography.

My why is to bring an awareness to the natural world, so that together we can make a difference.

A few examples of my work.

I’ve enjoyed reading your blogs, especially your move to Australia from the US - that is an amazing story! It was also nice to discover your association with Sea Legacy, and your connections with Christina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen (especially that video you posted the other week with your partner crashing your call – that was gold!). I really enjoy following the work you are all doing, and I have been really inspired by the imagery and stories you all continue to make - so thank you for that!

A little bit more about me…

Over the past two years I have completed my Open Water PADI Certificate, and have really fallen in love with diving! I guess ultimately, I am looking to combine my scientific background with my creativity in photography, to help some of the amazing conservation efforts that have been started and to raise awareness of these issues.

I am starting this part of my journey with a blank canvas, and so I wanted to reach out to you as an initial connection and to say hello. It is always a little daunting stepping out afresh, however it is my dream to build a nice community of people who hold a passion for the natural environment around my business, and who share similar values in creativity and adventure.

I have attached a few of my photographs in this page, which show my style. I’ve also included a video below that explains a bit about me. It is my plan for the next year - travel permitting - to move my business fully into adventure and conservation photography; finding organisations, and companies that share my values, so that I can bring ‘my why’ into all of my work.

My ‘why’ Video

I can appreciate that you are likely to be very busy, however it would be great if you would ever like to chat by email, or meet over Zoom. You can reach me through Instagram or through my website contact page. I would be really interested to hear more about your background, the work you do, and understand how I can become more involved.

Thanks again for your time in reading this, and I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Kind Regards,
